Hong Kong Stopover - Neon, Concrete and the clatter of time.
June 2025
Hong Kong buzzes with a tempo all its own, compact, vertical, and electric. On this brief stopover, I dove headfirst into the neon chaos of Mong Kok, where reminant signs layer like sediment in a canyon of light, and side streets pulse with late-night life and steam from street stalls.
The iconic "Monster Building" loomed like a living mosaic - concrete, color, and history stacked to the sky.
And in quieter moments, I rode the clattering “ding ding” trams across Hong Kong Island, their slow rhythm slicing through the city’s modern rush like memory itself. A city of contrasts, compressed into 48 vivid hours.
A selection of images from my short stay in Hong Kong are available in my store.
