Mongolia in Focus - A Journey Through Light, Land, and Life
June - July 2025
Travelling through Mongolia was an experience shaped by extremes vast silence and sudden colour, ancient stillness and vibrant motion. With camera in hand, I journeyed from the pulse of Ulaanbaatar to the quiet majesty of the Gobi Desert, drawn to the places where story and landscape meet.
In the capital, I wandered through Sükhbaatar Square and along Peace Avenue, found beauty in the rhythm of the Shaman and Naran Tuul (Black) Markets, and witnessed calm devotion at Gandan Monastery. The “Made in Mongolia” social outreach program by Asral NGO offered a powerful reminder of resilience and community through creative expression.
Beyond the city, Mongolia revealed itself in raw and breathtaking ways, the sculptural rocks of Baga Gazriin Chuluu, the deep canyon at Yolyn Am, and the wind-carved dunes of Khongoryn Els. I stood before ancient whispers at Khavtsgait’s rock petroglyphs and watched the sun ignite the Flaming Cliffs of Bayanzag. Time moved differently at Uulin Nuur’s community project and during quiet moments at an Ereenedalai homestay.
This collection of photographs captures not just the scenery, but the emotion of my journey as a visual record of Mongolia’s untamed beauty and enduring spirit.
A selection of images from my journey in Mongolia are available in my store.
